§ 2-211. Existing housing authority continued; powers and duties.

The resolution of the council adopted September 5, 1961, as amended, on file in the office of the city clerk, which finds that insanitary and unsafe inhabited dwelling accommodations exist in the city, that there is a lack of safe and sanitary dwelling accommodations in the city available for all the inhabitants thereof, and that there is a need for a housing authority, within the purview of the Housing Authorities Law, is hereby confirmed and continued in full force and effect. The Sanford Housing Authority shall act as the city housing authority established pursuant thereto and shall be empowered, with all the powers and duties provided by law for such housing authority.
